Jalin Hyatt Biography:-

Jalin Daveon Hyatt plays wide receiver for the Tennessee Volunteers in American football. On October 15, 2022, against No. 3 Alabama, he scored 5 touchdowns, which was a Tennessee school record. This helped Tennessee beat Alabama for the first time since 2006.

Hyatt was born in Irmo, South Carolina. He is the older of his parents’ two sons. His father, Jamie, was a college basketball player and semi-pro cyclist, and his mother, Eneveylan, was a college sprinter.

Hyatt went to high school in Irmo at Dutch Fork High School. He had 3,624 receiving yards and 57 receiving touchdowns in high school, which were both school records. 247Sports said that at the end of his high school career, Hyatt was a four-star prospect at wide receiver. Even though he did well in high school, Clemson and South Carolina did not recruit Hyatt because they were worried about his small size. At the time, Hyatt weighed only 153 pounds (69.3 kg). He said he would go to Virginia Tech in February 2019, but he was still available in June. On July 27, 2019, he decided to play college football for Jeremy Pruitt at the University of Tennessee.

In 2020, Hyatt was a true freshman at Tennessee. He played in 10 games and started one of them. He caught 20 passes for 276 yards and scored two touchdowns.

Hyatt was supposed to be a breakout player for Tennessee in his second year, but he struggled with injuries and only started one game. He ended the season with 21 catches for 226 yards and two touchdowns.

Hyatt was seen by many, including Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel, as a possible breakout player going into his junior year. Heupel said that Hyatt’s improved strength and confidence could be the keys to his success. In week 2, when Hyatt played #17 Pittsburgh, he caught 11 passes, which was a career high. The following week, Hyatt played against Akron and had his first 100-yard game with 166 yards. After fellow wide receiver Cedric Tillman got hurt, Hyatt became Tennessee’s top receiver. On October 15, 2022, Hyatt would get 207 receiving yards, which would be a career high, and catch 5 touchdowns, which would be a school record. This would happen in an upset win over rival #3 Alabama. On October 29, 2022, when Tennessee played Kentucky, Hyatt broke the record for most touchdown receptions in a single season for Tennessee.
