American pickleball player Anna Leigh Waters is a professional. She is now rated No. 4 in the world for doubles, No. 1 for mixed doubles, and No. 1 for singles according to the Professional Pickleball Association as of October 2022. At age 12, she became the youngest professional pickleball player in history. She is renowned for her doubles matches alongside her mother, Leigh Waters.

Waters grew up in Florida’s Delray Beach. When her family briefly stayed with her grandparents in Allentown, Pennsylvania, in 2017, Hurricane Irma, she and her mother started playing pickleball there. After developing swiftly, Waters competed in her first competition at the age of 11 in Dallas, Texas. Waters broke the record for the youngest pickleball player ever in 2019 when she turned 12 years old.

Waters has won competitions in doubles, mixed doubles, and singles after taking a year hiatus from competing in 2020 because to the COVID-19 pandemic. Leigh Waters, a former University of South Carolina NCAA Division I tennis player, is Waters’ partner in the doubles match. In professional pickleball, they are the only mother-daughter duo. Ben Johns was Waters’ partner when she competed in mixed doubles.
