Dr. Allen is a well-known pediatric heart surgeon who has worked at UCLA, USC, the University of Illinois, and the University of Texas, where he was the Surgical Director at the Children’s Heart Institute in Houston. He has been a doctor for almost 40 years and specializes in critical care, cardiothoracic vascular surgery, and heart surgery for children.

Dr. Allen has written almost 100 scientific papers, and his work has helped medical research and new ideas move forward. Dr. Allen was accepted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society, won research grants at UCLA and the University of Illinois, and received the Board of Trustee’s Academic award from the Chicago Medical School.
