Jaedon LeDee Biography:-

Jaedon LeDee is a young basketball player who has been making waves in the sport. He was born on July 25, 1999, and grew up in Houston, Texas. LeDee has always had a passion for basketball and began playing the sport when he was just nine years old. He quickly found success and has continued to impress throughout his basketball career.

USA Basketball Notes

LeDee’s talents were quickly noticed by USA Basketball. He participated in the 2014 USA Men’s Junior National Team October minicamp and the 2015 USA U16 National Team training camp. He was also named to the 2015-16 USA Basketball Men’s Junior National Team on May 26, 2015. LeDee’s involvement with USA Basketball culminated with his participation in the 2016 USA U17 World Championship Team training camp.

College Notes

LeDee has many college options and is currently considering 16 schools. These include Alabama, Arizona, Baylor, Kentucky, Kansas, Kansas State, LSU, Ohio State, Oklahoma State, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, UCLA, TCU, Vanderbilt, and Wake Forest. Although he has yet to make a final decision, LeDee is excited about the opportunity to play at the next level.

High School Notes

LeDee attended The Kinkaid School in Houston, Texas, where he compiled impressive stats over a 57-game span. He finished his sophomore season with a 22-11 record and helped The Kinkaid School finish sixth in the SPC. During that season, he averaged 21.0 points per game, 10.0 rebounds per game, and 3.0 assists per game. In his freshman year, he played in all 25 games and averaged 20.0 points per game, 11.0 rebounds per game, 3.0 assists per game, and 3.0 steals per game.

LeDee’s impressive stats earned him recognition as a member of the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches Boys Large School Private All-State Team in 2016. He also earned All-South Zone honors in 2015 and 2016 and was named to the All-Southwest Preparatory Conference in 2015 and 2016. Additionally, he earned all-tournament honors at the Cypress Christian Tournament and was named Mr. Basketball at the Lee College Tournament in 2015-16.

Personal Notes

LeDee comes from a family with a strong athletic background. His father played basketball at Nevada-Reno and volleyball at Texas Southern, while his mother played volleyball at Texas Southern. His cousin, Willis Reed, played for the New York Knicks and was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Hall of Fame in 1982. His cousin, Natasha Watley, won a gold medal in softball at the 2004 Olympics and silver at the 2008 Olympics. His late cousin, Orlando Woolridge, played in the NBA and Italy and was an assistant coach for the USA Women’s National Team in 1998 and 1999.

LeDee is a multi-talented individual and has published poetry on the Academy of American Poets’ website. He also has a love for animals and owns two boxers named Sydney and Bron.

2020-21 | Junior Season

In the 2020-21 season, LeDee played in 23 games and started one. He had a career-high 20 points and eight rebounds at West Virginia on March 4, 2021. LeDee scored in double digits three times and shot 53.8 percent from the field, the second-best on the team. He was also 35
