The graduation ceremony also marked the launch of the Concordia-Lise Watier Spreading Your Wings Award, which offers a $5,000 bursary annually to a graduate who chooses the Let’s Start Up Program’s entrepreneurial path. This grant aims to provide wings to the recipient’s business and will be available for ten years, up to the maximum grant amount of $50,000. The first recipient of the award was Karine Richer, founder of Insectes Intrinsekt, a company specialising in breeding edible insects and creating organic fertilisers.
